Prof. Dr. Cemalettin Camcı was born in 1968 and started to study at the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University in 1985. He has completed his medical education in 1991.
He finished his specialization in General Surgery between 1992-1998 at the Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. During this period, he had won a scholarship that is given from the Cultural Exchange Agreement made between Turkish and Nordic government. He worked in Rikshospitalet-Oslo for 4 months and enriched his experience with international patients and colleagues.
After his specialization in General Surgery, he worked in Adana Numune Training and Research Hospital for 4 years.
Then, he started working in Fırat University Faculty of Medicine. The faculty decided to establish an organ transplantation department. For that cause, Dr. Camcı went to the United States and worked in Nazih Zuhdi Transplantation Institute in Oklahoma City between 2004-2005. During his stay, he is trained for liver transplantation.
In 2006, he was promoted to be an Assistant Professor by the Council of Universities.
Between 2007-2008, he was offered to work at Nazih Zuhdi Transplantation Institute and worked there for one year. He returned to Turkey in 2009 and started to work at Kayseri Acıbadem Hospital as a General Surgeon.
In 2012, he has been promoted to be a Professor by İstanbul Bilim University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery.
He has performed both practical duties as a surgeon and theoretical duties as a university professor. He worked in several hospitals including the famous Florence Nightingale Hospital. Now he has his own clinic and has a partnership with MCAN Health in Gastric Sleeve surgeries.
