Diet Plan After Gastric Sleeve

Congratulations for your first step in your weight loss journey with gastric sleeve!

Now you need to follow your diet plan very carefully. The diet plan is divided into three parts:

The First 15 Days

diet breakfast

Breakfast 08:00

  • A bowl of soup (primarily broth, chicken broth, strained vegetable soup, liquid tomato soup without chunks, one week later, strained lentil soup without any chunks by trying)
  • 3-4 tablespoon light-lactose free yoghurt (HOMEMADE YOGHURT) / light ayran (mix light yoghurt with water)

Snack 10:00

  • A glass of light-lactose free milk + 3/4 scale Whey protein
diet lunch

Lunch 13:00

  • A bowl of soup (primarily broth, chicken broth, strained vegetable soup, tomato soup (light labneh cheese can be added, liquid vegetable soup without chunks, one week later, strained lentil soup by trying)
  • 3-4 tablespoon light-lactose free yoghurt or kefir
diet snack

Snack 15:00

  • 1 plain Activia / 100% sugar free (unsweetened) fruit juice/ fresh squeezed composte (without pulp and sugar free (cinnamon and clove can be added) (first two months, orange, mandarin and grapefruit are not allowed) , herbal tea (sage tea is forbidden)
diet dinner

Dinner 19:00

  • A tea glass of soup (primarily broth, chicken broth, strained vegetable soup, tomato soup, strained noodle soup (without chunks), one week later, strained lentil soup by trying -shouldn’t be thickened by flour and paste (tomato-pepper), should be thin
  • 3-4 tablespoon light-lactose free yoghurt or kefir
diet night

Night 21:00

  • A glass of light-lactose free milk + 1/2 scale Whey protein
  • From the 10th day liquidly soft-boiled egg can be consumed by trying

15th Day – 1st Month (Puree Period)

Morning / Breakfast 09:00

  • 1 soft-boiled egg (undercooked) (priority egg white)
  • A matchbox sized piece of light white cheese (30 gr) or 1 tablespoon light labne cheese or 1 tablespoon curd cheese

Snack 10:00

  • A glass of light-lactose free milk + 1/2 scale Whey protein
diet lunch

Lunch 13:00

  • 2-3 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef or with chicken (vegetables: zucchini, spinach, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower (by trying because of gas), purslane, chard, celery, okra, artichoke) (by blending)

OR

  • 30 gr (a meatball size) meatball with double grounded beef (by blending) OR a meatball size puree from chicken leg (by blending) + 2-3 tablespoon light yoghurt

OR

  • 30 gr light tuna fish (by blending)
diet snack

Snack 15:00

  • 2-3 tablespoon yoghurt
  • 1 serving of fruit puree (1 small apple, pear, dried apricot puree)

*It can be prepared smoothie by blending yoghurt and fruit

Dinner 19:00

  • 2-3 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef or with chicken (vegetables: zucchini, spinach, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower (by trying because of gas), purslane, chard, celery, okra, artichoke) (by blending)

OR

  • 30 gr (a meatball size) meatball with double grounded beef (by blend) OR a meatball size puree from chicken leg (by blending) + 2-3 tablespoon light yoghurt

OR

  • 30 gr light tuna fish (by blending)

Night 21.00

  • A glass of light-lactose free milk
  • 1/2 scale Whey protein

Other Instructions: *Food served as frying shouldn’t be consumed. *Only plain Activia can be consumed as liquid consistent food *You can drink herbal tea (cinnamon, linden, fennel, and chamomile). *Sugar-free or sweetened compote can be drunk *Until first month, you can consume solid foods after blender. Also, you can consume softer thick foods by chewing thoroughly. *Raw vegetables (lettuce, dill, arugula, cress) will be consumed after the third month. *Dried legumes will be consumed after the third month. *30 minutes rule: liquid foods and solid foods will not be consumed at the same time, we will wait before and after meals.

1st Month

Morning / Breakfast 09:00

  • A matchbox sized piece of light white cheese or 1 tablespoon light labne cheese or 1 tablespoon curd cheese
  • 1 soft-boiled egg or omlette with 1 egg
  • 1 – 2 olives
  • Peeled tomato – cucumber (if raw vegetable does not cause any digestion problem)
  • 1 slice of bread

Snack 11:00

  • 1 glass of protein milk OR kefir OR ayran
diet lunch

Lunch 13:00

  • 2-3 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef (zuccini, eggplant, spinach, chard, green beans, mushroom)
  • 1-2 tablespoon of light yoghurt OR kefir OR curd cheese
  • 60 gr meatball with sauce (2 meatballs) made with with double grounded beef OR 60 gr chicken OR 80 gr salmon (or grilled fish)
diet snack

Snack 15:00

  • 1 small bowl of yoghurt OR 1 activia yoghurt  OR 1 glass of kefir

After 1.5 hrs

  • 1 small fruit (apple, pear, pineapple, mandarin, dried appricot (2), dried plum (2)
diet dinner

Dinner 19:00

  • 2-3 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef (zuccini, eggplant, broad beans, artichoke, broccoli, spinach, chard, green beans, mushroom ) + 1-2 tablespoon of light yoghurt

OR

  • 60 gr meatball with sauce (2 meatballs) made with with double grounded beef

OR

  • 60 gr ( 2 meatball sized) chicken
  • 90 gr seabass or salmon or grilled fish
  • 1 slice of bread
diet night

Night 21:00

  • 1 glass of protein milk or kefir

3 – 6 Months

diet breakfast

In the process, you have suffered from constipation; 3 days-compote that is made by 2 dried apricot or plum without adding sugar.

BREAKFAST 09:00

  • 1 serving of matchbox light cottage cheese or 1 tablespoon light labneh or 1 tablespoon curd cheese
  • 1 boiled egg/omelet/menemen
  • 2-3 olives
  • 1-2 slices of peeled tomatoes, cucumber
  • 1 slice of crust
  • ½ glass of milk+ 2 tablespoon yoghurt+3 tablespoon oatmeal+ 1 fruit+2 pieces of walnut or 6 raw almonds
diet snack

Snack 11:00

  • A tea glass of light milk or kefir
  • 7-8 pieces of raw almonds or nuts or 2 walnuts
diet lunch

Lunch 13:00

  • 5-6 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef or chicken or meat (vegetables: green beans, chard, spinach, zucchini, artichoke,okra,broccoli, eggplant, purslane, mushroom)

OR

  • 90 gr (3 meatball) meatball with double grounded beef

OR

  • 90 gr chicken meat or 80 gr light tuna fish. Grill/oven

OR

  • 4 tablespoon dry legumes food (dried beans, chickpea, lentil, kidney beans, black eyed bean, mung beans)
  • In addition to one of the dry legumes above:
  • 2-3 tablespoon light yoghurt

***1-2 fork plenty of green salad (priority protein source)

Snack 16:00

  • 1 plain activia yoghurt or 1 owl of homemade yoghurt + 1 tablespoon of flax seed
  • 1 small fruit (apple, pear, pineapple, mandarin, orange, kiwi)
diet dinner

Dinner 19:00

  • 4-5 tablespoon vegetable food with ground beef or chicken or meat (vegetables: green beans, chard, spinach, zucchini, artichoke,eggplant, okra, purslane, mushroom)

OR

  • 90 gr (3 meatball) meatball with double grounded beef

OR

  • 90 gr chicken meat or 80 gr light tuna fish. Grill/oven

OR

  • 4 tablespoon dry legumes food (dried beans, chickpea, lentil, kidney beans, dry black eyed bean, mung beans)
  • 1-2 tablespoon light yoghurt or a glass of ayran

***1-2 fork plenty of green salad (priority protein source)

Night 21:00

  • A glass of light milk or kefir
  • 1 rusk

*Always add protein-containing foods at every meal *Liquid-solid distinction: don’t consume liquid 30 minutes before and after meal. *Take care of consuming 2.5 L of water daily. * Please chew solid food too much in meals and wait between bites.
