What Does MCANAssurance™ Include?
Coverage for Revision Surgeries
If your original surgeon determines that a revision is necessary, MCAN Health will assist with:
- Round-trip economy flight reimbursement to Istanbul
- Hotel accommodation up to €500
- Hospital and surgical expenses up to €1,000
- Valid for up to 13 months after your original surgery
Limit: Maximum of 20% of your original treatment cost
Support for Complication-Related Extended Stay
If your recovery doesn’t go as planned and an extended stay is medically necessary:
- Up to €500 in additional accommodation and flight change expenses
- Up to €500 for extra treatment-related costs
- €1,000 extra if intensive care is needed
Limit: Maximum of 20% of your original treatment cost

MCANAssurance™ vs. Medical Travel Insurance
MCANAssurance™ is not an insurance policy it’s a unique patient benefit from MCAN Health. We recommend all patients also purchase independent medical travel insurance.
However, if your insurer declines reimbursement or if there is an exlucision, MCANAssurance™ steps in to cover the costs, within the defined limits.
What Isn’t Included in MCANAssurance™?
While MCANAssurance™ reflects MCAN Health’s commitment to responsible medical support, it operates within clearly defined limits as follows:
- Nurse care is only provided at MCAN Health-contracted hotels
- Pre-existing medical conditions are outside the scope of the program
- Elective recovery extensions are not supported; complications must be medically confirmed
- Hotel reimbursement is limited if accommodations fall outside MCAN Health’s partner network
