Laser Therapy LLLT

Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level lasers or light-emitting diodes to deliver light energy to the scalp, a process known as photobiomodulation. The light is believed to increase cellular activity in hair follicles, improve local blood flow, and reduce inflammation, which can help prolong the anagen (growth) phase and reduce thinning in conditions such as androgenetic alopecia and other types of hair loss.

Devices range from in-clinic lasers and helmet systems to at-home combs and caps, and typical regimens involve multiple sessions per week for several months before improvements are seen; individual responses vary. Laser therapy is generally well tolerated with few side effects, but effectiveness depends on the underlying cause of hair loss and it is often used alongside medical therapies or surgical options, so discussing suitability and expectations with a healthcare professional is recommended.
