Brachioplasty Arm Lift

Brachioplasty (Arm Lift)

Brachioplasty, commonly called an arm lift, is an operation to remove extra skin and often underlying fat from the upper arms to reduce sagging and improve overall arm contour. The approach is tailored to the degree of laxity: limited procedures may use smaller incisions and localised tightening, while more extensive cases require longer incisions along the inner or posterior arm to excise greater amounts of tissue.

The procedure is usually performed under general or regional anesthesia and can be combined with liposuction for smoother contours. Patients should expect permanent scars that are positioned to be as discreet as possible, a recovery period that includes compression and activity restrictions, and potential risks such as bleeding, infection, numbness, asymmetry, or fluid collection that will be discussed during preoperative consultation.
