Tip Plasty

Tip Plasty

Tip plasty is a focused nasal procedure that targets the lower third of the nose to refine tip shape, rotation, projection, and symmetry. Surgeons perform tip plasty using either open or closed approaches and apply techniques such as suture reshaping, cartilage modification or trimming, and small grafts to alter the nasal tip while aiming to maintain structural support and nasal airway function.

The operation is often shorter and less extensive than a full rhinoplasty and may be suitable for patients whose concerns are limited to the tip. Recovery typically involves temporary swelling and bruising that improve over weeks, and potential risks include asymmetry, persistent swelling, scarring, or changes in breathing, so careful preoperative assessment and realistic expectations are important for a satisfactory outcome.
